YOUTH AND OPPORTUNITY

Research within the youth group will examine socio-cultural ties, educational needs and development including development of young cities and entrepreneurial and professional qualifications.

FOOD, ENERGY AND WATER

In order for preservation and sustainability within the food, energy and water nexus cross-sectoral coordination, dialogue, and intervention is needed.

URBANIZATION

The EAC has seen an unprecedented increase in infrastructural development throughout the region. Within this programme area falls the rising need to establish new economies to complement the youth bulge.

ECONOMY AND ECOLOGY

This programme will look into current policy and practice so as to determine areas best practice methods for inclusion and integration of the regional communities.

SHARED PROSPERITY

The EAC is home to a wide range of cultures, communities, tribes and religions. Within each of these groupings are sub-divisions based on language, wealth, lineage etc.

EAST AFRICA YOUTH SURVEYS

Between 2014 and 2015 we interviewed 7,010 individuals aged 18 to 35 years from rural and urban areas in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
