Provost Experiential Learning Fund Programme (PELFP-EA)

In line with our principles of Impact, Quality, Relevance, and Access (IQRA) and our commitment to helping students grow personally and professionally, the Provost Experiential Learning Fund intends to provide partial or bridge financing to the students to support the two categories of programmes across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.

Aga Khan University Students' Association 

Welcome to AKUSA! 

The AKUSA in Kenya comprises of students from the Medical College, School of Nursing and Midwifery and the Graduate School of Media and Communications.

The Association, governed by a Students™ Executive Council, provides students with opportunities to actively engage directly in the University's governance, growth, and development. Please read the Constitution here


AKU Environmental Club

This initiative by Master of Education (MEd) students in our Dar es Salaam campus aims to promote awareness and education about environmental issues, inspire and encourage people to take action and protect and preserve the environment through sustainable practices and initiatives. The club has carried out activities that include tree planting and the provision of dustbins to enable proper waste management.



 

​International Nurses and Midwives Day

As part of the global celebrations to celebrate nurses and midwives, we organised a fun festival for our nursing and midwifery students, which culminated with a fashion show that took us down memory lane, showcasing past and present nurse uniforms.

​Psychosocial Health Webinars

To ensure the mental and psychosocial health of our students, we conduct monthly psychosocial health webinars to all our students across East Africa. Our students interact freely with our student psychological counsellors in confidence and participate in group social media platforms that discuss topics of general interest.


 


SONAM Potluck Lunch

Students and faculty from the  School of Nursing and Midwifery in Nairobi campus participate in the annual Potluck Lunch. A time to celebrate each other's culture through food, drink, and cultural wear.
