​Dr Junaid Razzak

Dr. Junaid Razzak, a distinguished expert in emergency medicine, earned his MBBS from Aga Khan University and completed his residency at Yale University. He holds a doctoral degree in Public Health from the Karolinska Institute. Currently, he serves as Director AKU Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies and Vice Chair of Research at Weill Cornell Medicine. Prior to this, Dr. Razzak was the Director of the Center for Global Emergency Care at Johns Hopkins University, where he also held various leadership roles, including Director of the Tele-Emergency Medicine Program and Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Razzak's career spans over two decades, during which he has held pivotal academic and leadership roles. He was the Director of the WHO Collaborating Center on Emergency Medicine and Trauma at Aga Khan University, where he also served as a Professor for over a decade. His prior academic roles include Assistant Professor at Emory University and Yale University Schools of Medicine.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Razzak brings extensive expertise in emergency medicine, public health, and medical informatics. He is one of the few researchers funded by the NIH in global emergency medicine and has served as a Visiting Scientist at the Fogarty International Center. His research portfolio includes over 200 peer-reviewed publications, addressing emergency care in vulnerable communities, innovation, and healthcare technology.​

Dr. Razzak's impact extends beyond academia, having served as Chief Executive Officer of Aman Healthcare Services in Karachi, where he contributed to healthcare innovation and community health development.
