Convocation, Class of 2021
The Aga Khan University held its convocation ceremony on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Melinda French Gates, Co-chair and Trustee of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was the chief guest at the event where 118 students in kenya received degrees and diplomas.
A total of 118 graduates were awarded degrees and diplomas in various disciplines: 11 graduated with a Post-RM Bachelor of Science in Midwifery, 36 with Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 32 with a Master of Medicine and 26 with a Master of Education.
Valedictorians Anum Ehsan, MBBS programme, and Scoviah Masudio, Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Midwifery programme, addressed graduands at the global ceremony.
13 journalists graduated with a Master of Arts in Digital Journalism, the first programme of its kind in Kenya and East Africa.
