CIME collaborated with the Sanofi Pakistan to arrange a training of trainers programme for 20 pulmonologists and internal medicine specialists from all over Pakistan. The Programme subjected towards updates in the management of community-acquired pneumonia, ventilator-acquired pneumonia, hospital-acquired pneumonia, diseases mimicking pneumonia.
The participants experienced an immersive learning through two simulation scenarios. One was a high fidelity scenario using patient care simulator in a hospital ER set-up. While the second was a clinic setting using simulated patient with a SimShirt on programmed with pathological lungs sounds. They were then given the opportunity, at the end of the day, to design their own courses / workshops using simulation. It familiarised the participants with the latest teaching and learning tools. The Programme was intended to prepare those senior faculty who will use simulation to improve the knowledge, skills of resident trainees in Pulmonology and Medicine across the country.
