Managing trauma in the paediatric
population requires specialised skills and expertise. On the 8th of
October 2021, Dr Emaduddin Siddiqui, Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine conducted
a workshop on Paediatric Trauma and Life Support for the hospital’s post
graduate trainees.
After a comprehensive set of lectures from a
range of speakers from the Department of Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and
Surgery, participants practiced clinical techniques such as needle thoracostomy,
intraosseous line insertion, and a variety of airway management manoeuvres on our
top-notch simulators.
