Firstly, Sister Eunice Bett, Principal of the Nursing School at MP Shah Hospital, along with her colleagues, visited CIME to discuss a forthcoming Memorandum of Understanding between AKU and MP Shah Hospital. The collaboration will include the use of Visually Enhanced Mental Simulation (VEMS) as a cost-effective method for training non-technical skills.
In another visit, a delegation from Linedata, a global financial technology, services, and solutions provider, toured CIME Nairobi. Linedata has been a key sponsor of AKU's initiatives in Kampala. During their visit, they had an unexpected encounter with a simulated emergency scenario, where the team successfully revived a "patient" named Dan, in honor of one of the rescuers. This visit provided a glimpse into the kind of impactful work that will take place at the upcoming University Centre in Kampala.
