Support Patient Care
Make quality healthcare accessible for all
Your donations to the Patient Welfare Programme in Pakistan and East Africa can make high-quality, critical healthcare accessible to patients from low-income backgrounds. It can enable them to benefit from the full range of cutting-edge clinical, diagnostic, and laboratory services at the Aga Khan University Hospitals and their outreach centres.
Since its inception in 1985, the Welfare Programme has supported over 8.7 million patient visits in Pakistan and East Africa, thanks to the generous support of our donors. In Pakistan, mustahiq patients also receive financial assistance through Zakat and Sadaqat, collected by the Patients' Behbud Society (PBS) for AKUH.
In 2023 alone, the Welfare Programme was able to provide financial support to over 1.3 million patient visits.
