Introduction

The Department of Anaesthesia at the Aga Khan University Hospital provides perioperative care and other operating room facilities for all surgical procedures, intensive care to critically ill surgical patients in the surgical intensive care unit, as well as acute and chronic pain management services. Our department has a mix of anesthesiologists, qualified nurses, and highly trained surgical and anesthesia technicians. Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • arrange all necessary equipment and drugs required before and during anaesthesia procedure
  • assist anaesthiologist throughout the anaesthesia procedure including monitoring, induction and intubation of patients
  • maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot the anaesthesia equipments according to instructions and the porder anaesthesia supplles ancl equipment, and ensure theworkroom, cafts, and outreach areas are well stocked
  • perform cell saving and intra operating room blood salvage, assists in placernent of intravenous infusion lines and invasive pressure monitoring devices and lines

Requirements

You should have:

  • Graduation, BSc preferred
  • Diploma in Anaesthesia/operating room
  • At least one year of relevant experience from a reputed healthcare organization
  • good knowledge of common anaesthetic procedures under GA, including appendectomy, laparoscopic and dye cystoscopy, LSCS, etc. 
  • willingness to work in shift duties.
