Introduction

The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychology and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible to:
  • assist in safe transfer of patients to and from bed, chair, wheelchair, stretcher, or trolley ensuring necessary safety measures
  • escort and transport patients safely for off unit procedures 
  • ensure and deliver all correctly labeled specimens to the specified destinations following standard precautions
  • ensure that require linen is always available on trolly and trolley is maintained.
  • change hamper bag every two hourly or as per need.
  • raise tea stock and stationary items and inform supervisor for its charging.
  • issues and receives CSSD items and enters in online charging system.
  • provide all stationary items and required forms to receptionist as per need basis.
  • receive all stock items and timely delivery to respective subunits of IMS.
  • maintain record of all supplies, stock items and CSSD.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a Matriculation, Intermediate would be preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience (preferred)
  • ability to understand and follow oral instructions in Urdu
  • ability to demonstrate positive and receptive attitude at workplace 
  • willingness to work in shift duties.
