Introduction

The Department of Medicine comprises of independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Professor, Cardiology in the Department of Medicine.

Responsibilities

You will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements

Structured postgraduate training programme from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, FRCS, American Board, or equivalent qualifications.

Applicants should have at least five years of experience to the level of Associate Professor in an HEC recognized University and a minimum of 15 research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC, with at least 5 of these publications in the last five years.

In addition, the candidate should have had additional training as a Fellow in Cardiology (minimum 3 years) and then a Electrophysiology fellow/equivalent for a minimum of 2 years in a reputable institution, and/or a diploma in the appropriate field. Alternatively, the candidate should have demonstrated scholarship either through research and publications in peer reviewed indexed journals or by virtue of substantial contributions to education.
