Aga Khan University invites applications for Data Collector in the Department of Medicine.

This is a temporary position for a period of six months.

Responsibilities

The Data Collector will be responsible for gathering accurate and complete data from the community through door-to-door surveys according to the established protocol. This includes conducting interviews, administering questionnaires, anthropometric measurements, and collecting biological samples as required by the study protocol.

Additionally, you will be responsible to:
  • travel to designated locations to collect relevant data 
  • utilize survey tools and equipment to record information accurately
  • interact with individuals to gather required data
  • ensure the accuracy and completeness of collected data
  • maintain detailed records of collected data in an organized and systematic manner
  • compile and submit regular progress reports to the field coordinator/project manager
  • follow established protocols and guidelines for data collection
  • collaborate with team members and project stakeholders to relay information effectively.
  • ensure that all data collection tools and equipment are properly maintained and used according to protocol.

Requirements

You should have:
  • Intermediate and above
  • Prior fieldwork experience will be preferred
  • Prior experience in data collection will be preferred
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical fitness for outdoor activities and willingness to work in community settings
  • Basic to advanced phlebotomy skills preferred or any other relevant background for said skills (e.g., LHV, nursing, midwifery, etc).
