Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research, and healthcare of international standards relevant to Pakistan and the region.
The Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development, Pakistan (AKU-IED) has a longstanding relationship with the Department of School Education (DSE) GB to improve children's access to quality education, enhance education governance, and involve communities in schools in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
The AKU-IED has been contracted by the DSE GB on the GB Education Fellows (EFs) project to improve the quality of education in GB. A Consortium comprising LUMS, KIU, and Knowledge Platform led by AKU has received a grant from the GB Government to hire and train 1200 Education Fellows in public sector educational institutions in GB.
We are inviting applications for the position of Education Fellows who will be placed for nine (9) months in government educational institutions in GB. Please note that those who applied last year should re-apply, if they are still interested and available to work as Education Fellows.
During their placement in different educational institutions, Educational Fellows will undergo intensive professional development programme organized by AKU and its partners as part of the project. They will also be provided with ongoing professional support to enable them to impart quality education in their schools and colleges.
