Introduction

The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

AKUH is hiring Registered Nurse for Home Health Programme, Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:
  • demonstrate safe handling and proper use of equipment/supplies
  • provide high quality personalized planned holistic nursing care to all assigned patients
  • administer medication safely, applying knowledge of drug and dosages, refers drug manual and/or pharmacy information as required, monitors patient responses to medication and communicate reportable findings promptly
  • counseling and educating patients on health behaviors
  • demonstrate efficiency in use of electronic monitoring equipment
  • demonstrate competence in patient assessment and care plan accordingly
  • perform any other task assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a Baccalaureaacte Degree in Nursing (BScN), Post-RN BScN degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • six months of work experience will be preferred while Diploma holders should have at least three years of experience
  • valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
  • certification in Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS, NRP provider, Safe Medication Administration and Intravenous Cannulation
  • ability to assess, plan and manage patient care with expertise as per protocols
  • willingness to work with shifts
  • excellent interpersonal skills, including communication skills
