Introduction

The Department of Emergency Services at the Aga Khan University Hospital offers multiple specialties under one roof, enabling doctors from different services to work seamlessly together, offering a multidisciplinary health approach resulting in an effective continuum of care. The patients who require additional consultation are catered to, by visits of relevant specialty doctors from other departments, making complete, holistic care possible under one roof.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • visit all patients on a daily-basis to ensure their comfort and satisfaction on the level of services provided
  • follow-up to resolve queries and complaints raised by patients and their families while ensuring that those are timely entered in the system and provide timely feedback to the concerned
  • maintain strong liaison with all the relevant departments and effectively coordinate with them for provision of necessary services
  • coordinate with purchase department for the procurement of equipment / accessories and look after construction and maintenance activities
  • supervise and coordinate with the concerned for smooth processing of patient admissions, transfers in and out from emergency
  • maintain unit inventory with head nurse and follow up for the disposal and write-off of inventory
  • conduct studies of service issues by collect and analyze data related to patient services and the issues arising out it, and share recommendations for improvement with the management
  • ensure timely completion of special projects and assignments while ensuring that applicable policies and protocols are followed in the assigned units.

Requirements

You should have:

  • a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Masters degree from a recognized institution
  • at least two years of related experience, preferably in a reputed tertiary care healthcare organization
  • good technical skills and should be comfortable interacting with employees, physicians and other users of medical records
  • proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office package
  • ability to gather data and make sound decisions
  • excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations and multi-task, ensuring that stringent deadlines are timely met
  • willingness to work in shifts on need-basis.
