Introduction

The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:
  • monitor performance of all Receptionists handling cash in the assigned areas to ensure that it conforms to the revenue collection and cashiering protocol
  • check Daily Revenue Reports in order to have accurate record of all transactions and liaise with PBSD regarding any cash short/excess and corporate patients' queries in accordance with the revenue collection and cash protocols
  • handle and resolve patient queries by taking periodic rounds to ensure smooth functioning of the clinics and proactively keep customers satisfied with the services provided
  • coordinate with support services departments for ensuring efficient continuity of operations
  • ensure that appointments are confirmed and cancelled in a timely fashion for smooth functioning of clinics
  • supervise the pertinent activities for ensuring timely availability of medical record files for all booked and un-booked patients at assigned clinics via bar-coded tallying
  • contribute and supervise in achieving at least 90% positive indicator score in patients' satisfaction related aspects by being polite, helpful, efficient with a focus on CARR (Communication, Attitude, Respect & Caring and Responsiveness) behaviors
  • oversee tasks peculiar to areas like to guideing patients for diagnostic tests preparation, coordination with doctors for clinical summaries and mailing of reports among others etc.
  • Prepare roster of Satellite Emergency Department
  • Perform audit trial of Satellite Emergency Department
  • Support all administrative tasks in Consulting clinics & Satellite Emergency Department

Requirements

You should have:
  • a Bachelors degree, preferably in Business Administration or Management Science
  • at least two years of related experience in service industry, preferably in a reputed healthcare organization
  • good cash handling skills and ability to perform multiple functions effectively while managing workload
  • good communication skills in English and Urdu
  • ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently
  • good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively deal with patients and their families
  • proficiently in the use computer applications and be good at problem solving
  • willingness to work in shift duties.
