Established in 1980, Aga Khan University's School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SONAM) was the first academic unit of the University to be established. AKU-SONAM motivates young men and women from all over Pakistan and developing countries to choose nursing as a career in order to strengthen the delivery of health care services.

The position will be reporting to the Academic Lead, School of Nursing and Midwifery. Moreover, you will be responsible for:

• exhibiting strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with colleagues and staff
• demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively teach students
• using VLE, and online resources to support the Applied Nutrition course
• effectively listening to the concerns of students related to the course
• creating a course grid according to the HEC curriculum with credit hours and learning outcomes
• liaising with the semester course coordinator and faculty in the year team
• constructing exam papers and reviewing with DED, following the exam protocols, and keeping items confidential at all levels. Moreover, participate in invigilation activities
• undertaking the responsibility of teaching small and large classrooms that may have approx. 150 students.
• constructing course mark sheets and checking the correct grades as per the defined protocols.
• aligning course grid with other courses
• attending year meetings, informing course and student updates
• upgrading teaching and learning practices as per the organization's guidelines
• participating in CPD sessions to integrate theory into practice
• any other task assigned by the year head or departmental head.
