Introduction

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:
  • perform preoperative anaesthesia assessment of patients
  • provide perioperative anaesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery 
  • deliver of anaesthesia care in one or more areas
  • participate in maintaining quality of care
  • coordinate with other departments in delivery efficient patient care
  • perform night on-call sessions
  • follow hospital’s quality and patient safety policies in the provision of patient care
  • carry out orientation of staff and conduct teaching sessions as a measure for capacity building of existing team 
  • take part in department quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

You should have:
  • an MBBS degree with a valid PM&DC license and completed house job
  • completed structured postgraduate training program and possess FCPS
  • at least 5-6 years experience in Anaesthesiology
  • excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills and ability to handle work pressure
  • ability to understand issues from patient’s perspective
  • command over counselling patients and their families and to adapt content, style, tone and medium of communication to suit the target audience's language, cultural background and level of understanding.
