Saleema has been with Aga Khan University since 2001. She plays a significant role globally as secretary of the University Appointments & Promotions Committee, where she oversees the calls for academic appointments and promotions and nominations for rofessors emeriti, distinguished university professors and endowed professors. She is also responsible for the bi-annual report on faculty matters to the University Board of Trustees.

Saleema provides support and oversight to academic activities across the University’s Pakistan and UK campuses. She supports the executive academic leadership in managing the Office of the Provost by supporting MOU agreements, communicating with AKDN partners and large-scale event management. She is the point person for relationships with the Pakistan Government and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
