Research Assistant
Everline Kerubo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from Kenyatta University, complemented by a Leadership Development and Mentorship certificate from the same institution. In Kenya, she holds a valid license as a public health officer granted by the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC).
With her extensive expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, Everline serves as a valuable researcher at the Brain and Mind Institute. Prior to joining the institute, she contributed her skills and knowledge to renowned research organizations such as Innovations for Poverty Action, Laterite Kenya, and Jhpiego. Through these experiences, she developed a diverse skill set encompassing household data collection, conducting focus group discussions and key informant interviews, producing comprehensive reports, and utilizing various data collection tools including REDCap, SurveyCTO, KoboCollect, and Tangerine.
At the Brain and Mind Institute, Everline assumes the role of a research assistant for the retrospective study titled "Patterns of Self-Harm Among Patients Presenting to a Tertiary Hospital in Kenya between January 2018 and December 2022." Her responsibilities encompass extracting data from medical records, coding the information accurately, organizing and managing the collected data, and ensuring its completeness. Additionally, she collaborates closely with the project's lead researchers to shape research inquiries and ensure the achievement of project goals. Everline consistently upholds a high level of professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to her assignments. Her enthusiasm for the project's objectives, coupled with her genuine passion for assisting others, propels her to surpass expectations in her work.
