​Research Associate

Tariq Ahmed Jakhro is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience in national and international organizations across various domains, including teaching, training, management, research design and implementation, motivation and mobilization, and monitoring and evaluation. With a strong background in data collection and rectification, he has successfully navigated diverse environments and cultures within Pakistan, having lived and worked in four out of five provinces.

Tariq holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from AIOU Islamabad and a Master’s in Public Health from SZABIST. Over the past 10 years, he has made significant contributions to the social development sector, including two years as a Coordinator at the National Commission for Human Development and one year as a Tehsil Coordinator at the Literacy Improvement Welfare Organization (LIWO). He has dedicated seven years to Aga Khan University Hospital, where he began as a Field Supervisor for baseline surveys and was subsequently promoted to Associate Coordinator for the Umeed-e-Nau project within the Women & Child Health Department in District Badin.

Currently, Tariq serves as a Research Associate on the Equi Injury and Trauma Registry Project at the Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies (CETE).
