Dr. Nadia Fatima
Research Specialist
Dr. Nadia Fatima is a distinguished alumnus of the Master of Health Policy and Management programme at Aga Khan University (Class of 2023) and currently serves as a Research Specialist at the Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies (CETE). She earned her MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and has extensive clinical experience across public and private hospitals in both urban and rural Sindh.
Dr. Nadia has also undergone training with Red Crescent Pakistan and UNICEF, enhancing her expertise in healthcare delivery. Currently, she is actively involved in the CONNECT-HTN project, where she focuses on coaching and navigation for high-risk hypertension patients through Tele-Community Health Workers (Tele-CHWs) in urban Karachi. As part of this initiative, Dr. Nadia is developing a curriculum for the Tele-CHWs based on WHO recommendations for lifestyle changes to manage high blood pressure.
Her research interests encompass health systems strengthening, public-private partnerships in health, alignment of global and domestic health goals in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as infectious and non-communicable diseases.
