To achieve its goals, AKU-CRM has partnered with the University of California, San Francisco's Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research - one of the largest and most comprehensive programmes in the world.
UCSF is among the top five health research universities in the United States and has been home to five Nobel prize winners in medicine. The partnership between AKU and UCSF is a close one, with faculty collaborating on research, education and training, designing laboratories, public engagement and advocacy.
