Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B)

Our Commitment

At the Aga Khan University, we are deeply committed to fostering an environment of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging across all areas of our institution, including education, health services, research, and administration. We believe that every individual has the right to equal treatment, and we are enriched by the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of our community members. As a global organization, we strive to create a supportive environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered, regardless of their identity, background, or experiences. Our strategy aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), Goal 4 (Inclusive and quality education and promote lifelong learning for all), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), driving both direct and indirect contributions to these objectives.

Our framework for strengthening a culture of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B) focuses on three key outlooks, inspired by Global DEI Benchmark Standards.
