PERI Resources
IED, EA Library subscribes to the Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information (PERI) resources. This is an online programme that supports capacity building in the research sector in developing and transitional countries, reinforcing local efforts to produce, disseminate and gain access to scholarly information and knowledge. PERI is one of the projects available through International Availability of Scientific Publication (INASP). INASP resources cover a wide range of disciplines i.e. education, health, management, HR, IT, finance, Library science and many more. It is our hope that these will go a long way in supporting the research needs of IED EA.
These resources are availed to us in Tanzania through a consortium of academic and research institutions in which AKU IED EA library is a member. It is currently managed through the University of Dar es Salaam where the Country Coordinators are based.
PERI resources have been registered via Internet Protocol (IP) address. This means that staff, faculty and students should access the resources via the IP address of AKU IED EA. A number of publishers have also provided us with Institutional passwords that make access possible outside the institution.
