Welcome to the Department of Pathology  

We are proud to be the only department offering training in anatomic and clinical pathology specialties in the country. Our faculty, residents, and staff at Aga Khan University, Nairobi are committed to ensuring top-notch patient-centered diagnostic services, excellence in education, and dedication to cutting-edge research.

Our Department is comprised of multiple sub-specialties (hyperlink to the specialities page) with a diverse faculty trained both locally and internationally. Recently accredited by the ACGME-I, our Pathology Residency Program is designed to provide comprehensive training that meets international standards.

Goals of the Programme

The goals of the Pathology Residency Program at Aga Khan University are:

Our fellowship in OncoPathology​ offers advanced training opportunities for pathologists seeking to specialize further in specific areas of pathology. Fellows work closely with faculty and contribute to both clinical services and research initiatives.​

Our fellows play a critical role in enhancing the department’s diagnostic capabilities and contribute significantly to academic and research activities. The fellowship programs are designed to prepare pathologists for leadership roles in their respective sub-specialties.​
