Dr Ambreen Nizar has joined the Department of Paediatrics & Child Health as a Senior Instructor, Research, January 2024. ​Dr Nizar completed her MSc in Epidemiology & Bio-Statistics from Aga Khan University, funded by an NIH scholarship, and the 2023-24 Inter-Scale Fellowship (Aga Khan & Oxford) in ECD research. She has a dental surgery degree from Fatima Jinnah Dental College (2006-2011). ​Since 2016, Dr Ambreen has been spearheading projects such as GSED and ACT.

AKU neonatologists contribute to Pakistan guidelines for newborn care

Eight faculty members from Aga Khan University out of a total of 55 national and international neonatologists have contributed to the 352-page first National Guidelines for Small and Sick Newborn Care at Primary and Secondary Healthcare Facilities in Pakistan.
