Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine – Histopathology | FCPS II Mock Exam 2024
In the month of September, the section of Histopathology, Deptartment of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine conducted a two-day mock exam for the current and passed out trainees across the city, who would eventually be attempting the FCPS 2 practical exam. A total of 13 country wide candidates attempted the exam in such a way, which gives them a real time experience of the final exam conducted in a similar pattern by the CPSP. Three very senior examiners, two from AKUH and one from Liaquat National Hospital (LNH), not only assessed the candidates but also gave their insights on how to smartly attempt the exam; highlighting the ways that would help them earn brownie points. In addition to a detailed report of their result, a feedback session was held by the faculty at the end of second day in which they explained the correct pattern of attempting the questions and viva.
The main objective of this activity were:
- To familiarize the candidates with the exam pattern.
- Providing a platform where they could assess their own shortcomings and work on it before the ultimate exam.
