Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene
The Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene (ASDH) programme is approved by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. ASDH is a two-year entry to practice programme which is competency-based and has a collaborative model of education.
The ASDH programme develops future leaders in dental hygiene practice, research and education who will advance oral disease prevention and oral health promotion. Graduates from ASDH will become primary healthcare professionals addressing the unmet oral health needs of Pakistan and other low-and-middle income country populations. After convocation, graduates are offered training positions within the AKU-AKUH network, and they also receive training to teach and assume permanent and full-time positions within the ASDH programme.
With its state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that simulate real-life scenarios, the ASDH programme nurtures and develops intellectual and clinical skills of its students.
