In a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing medical education and improving patient care, CIME partnered with the Section of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, and GSK Pakistan to organize a workshop titled "Management of Common Dermatological Disorders." The workshop, tailored specifically for General Practitioners, drew the participation of 36 enthusiastic healthcare professionals eager to expand their knowledge and skills in dermatology.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Sadia Masood, serving as the course director, the workshop proved to be an enlightening and engaging experience for all participants. One of the workshop's distinctive features was the incorporation of simulation-based learning, with a focus on moulages meticulously crafted on simulated patients. These realistic representations of common skin disorders provided participants with hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of dermatological conditions commonly encountered in clinical practice.
The workshop format included a blend of interactive sessions, ice-breaking activities, and large and small group discussions, fostering an environment conducive to learning and collaboration.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback received from participants underscores the success of the workshop and serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts of all involved. Encouraged by the success of this initiative, the Dermatology and CIME teams look forward to organizing more informative and engaging sessions in the future, as they continue to explore innovative ways to educate healthcare professionals about skin health and dermatological care in Pakistan.
