The Aga Khan University (AKU), in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), hosted the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) examination for the second consecutive year at AKU's Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME).
The MRCS examination is a prestigious intercollegiate assessment designed to rigorously evaluate surgical trainees' aptitude in anatomy, physiology, clinical skills, and more. By providing a platform for candidates to showcase their capabilities, AKU and RCSEd are contributing to the advancement of surgical education and training in Pakistan.
Under the diligent supervision of Dr. Zahid Raza and Professor MC Cullom, the three-day examination saw 105 candidates participating. The examination, held from February 26th to 28th, comprised various stations where candidates demonstrated their skills through Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPE) under the guidance of international examiners.
