PhD in Nursing

In 2015, the School of Nursing and Midwifery started its PhD programme in Nursing. 

A PhD programme is the backbone of meaningful and scholarly engagements in any university. It is also crucial for the development of new generations of clinical researchers, educators and leaders. The PhD programme in the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at AKU is central to its mission of producing research-based knowledge in healthcare that is relevant to the developing world and will have an impact on human health from the perspective of nursing.​
