Fellow Medical Officer, Psychiatry

Introduction

You will be responsible for clinical work (in-patient, out-patient and consult liaison) in liaison with general psychiatry program, on phone calls as per schedule, participation in teaching medical students and residents, participation in research and scholarly work and administrative work associated with fellowship program

Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
  • consultation of Clinics under supervision as per core competencies
  • patient care responsibilities in psychiatric ward in liaison with general psychiatry team
  • consultation for other specialties/ER under supervision as per core competencies
  • teaching of Residents and medical students
  • any other responsibilities designated by Program Director.

Requirements

You must have:
  • a minimum of MBBS from an institution recognised by the PMC
  • a minimum of one year of house job/internship with six months each in medicine and allied disciplines and surgery and allied disciplines
  • a minimum of FCPS Part I or equivalent in Psychiatry and FCPS Part II in adult psychiatry will be preferred
  • four year residency training in Adult General Psychiatry 
  • good interpersonal skills
