Season 1

Nature and people living in the world’s highest mountains from the Himalayas to the Tian Shan need a voice for the ongoing climate crisis that they are facing. 

Voices from the Roof of the World, a joint initiative by the Aga Khan University, Aga Khan Agency for Habitat, Aga Khan Foundation and University of Central Asia, is producing ground-breaking environmental films and build momentum for change before it is too late. 

The episodes are produced by filmmakers from Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and India.

The impact of climate change and drought on the endangered Himalayan brow​n bears and golden marmots found in the Deosai National Park in Gilgit Baltistan, impact on local communities in the buffer zone and human-wildlife conflict and eco-tourism.
