​​Peris Wambui
Consultant, NeuroGAP

Dr Peris Wambui is a public health policy consultant and a co-investigator in the NeuroGAP project. She heads the Research and Knowledge Management Department at Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital, the recruiting site for the NeuroGAP study.

Dr. Wambui earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Nairobi in 2013 and an MSc in Global Health Policy from the University of London in 2021. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Global Health and Health Systems at EUCLID University.

Her work is driven by a passion for evidence-informed policies that transform mental health care in Kenya and across the African region. Dr. Wambui’s interests include research and policymaking in mental health, leveraging technology to enhance access to mental health services, and addressing mental health issues among adolescents and young people.​​
