Vivian Elseba Nyadimo
Project Manager
Vivian Elseba Nyadimo is a public health nutritionist and researcher with a strong background in maternal and child health. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at KEMRI, in collaboration with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Foods, Nutrition, and Dietetics, graduating with First Class Honors from Kenyatta University. With over six years of experience managing complex research projects and driving public health initiatives, Vivian has established herself as an expert in her field.
Currently, Vivian leads the
Canvas for Change project, which employs co-production art to challenge neurological stigma. She is also at the forefront of Neuroethics studies that aim to develop culturally relevant guidelines for neuroscience research in Africa. Her deep expertise in research ethics, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement ensures the successful implementation and impactful outcomes of these critical initiatives.
In previous roles, Vivian served as a Research Associate at Catholic Relief Services, where she managed a study on Conditional Cash Transfers aimed at reducing acute malnutrition in Kenya's ASAL regions (Isiolo and Marsabit). She also worked as a Research Officer at Concern Worldwide, significantly improving community health interventions. At AIC Kijabe Hospital, she contributed to pivotal cohort studies on unmet needs and nosocomial infections (hospital-acquired infections), providing invaluable insights.
As a skilled professional in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), Vivian brings extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as NVivo, R, SPSS, and advanced Excel. She is highly knowledgeable in research and project monitoring and evaluation frameworks, making her a key asset in ensuring data-driven outcomes.
Vivian's research interests span a wide range of topics, including maternal and child health, nutrition, global health, and evidence-based healthcare. In addition to her professional expertise, she is a passionate advocate for mindfulness and self-compassion, integrating these practices into her personal and professional life to manage stress and enhance well-being.
