Areeb Masood holds an MS degree in Biosciences​​ from the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology and an MSc degree in Biotechnology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He joined AKU-CRM in 2023 as a research associate where he has been developing his expertise across various core laboratory disciplines including confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, and pathology.​​ Prior to this​ role, he also served as a senior research assistant as part of a collaborative research project at AKU's Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences and Department of Anesthesiology where he worked on plant–based therapeutics as an anti-cancer drugs against breast cancer. ​​
