Assessment and Evaluation in the Global South: Engaging and Transforming Discourses and Practices

The Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development welcomes you to its 11th International Conference. The conference provides you the opportunity to:

increase your knowledge of the symbiotic and complex relationships between assessment, evaluation and teaching and learning;
discuss the opportunities and challenges in understanding and enacting these relationships;
design solutions and exchange ideas with researchers, educators, practitioners and policymakers with different disciplinary interests in social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences;
critique practices and models of assessment and evaluation;
get inspired, chart new directions and promote innovations in the research-policy-action nexus related to assessment and evaluation; and
develop and maintain professional relationships, establish new contacts and extend your network.

The call for abstracts has now closed, with more submissions than for any previous international conference organised by AKU-IED. Thanks to everyone who submitted. Your contributions will help ensure that this year's conference is a huge success. The reviewers will now focus on evaluating all papers received. Acceptance notifications will be dispatched starting from August 10, 2018.
