​​​Submit an Abstract

Call for Abstracts is now open for the International Nurses and Midwives Day 2024 conference, Economy & Environment: Impact of Nursing and Midwifery Care. A conference hosted and organised by the Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery, AKU-SONAM, and the Division of Nursing Services, Aga Khan University Hospitals, Pakistan.

The program will include oral presentations, scientific pitch and e posters on different sub themes related to the main conference themes.

Your abstracts can be around, but not limited to the following themes:

• Empowerment
• Wellbeing
• Positive attributes

Note: Before submission, please refer to the specific guidelines of each format (provided at the bottom of this page. 


Who Can Submit?

  • All nurses and midwives
  • All nursing and midwifery students​

Abstract Submission Guidelines 

• Participants can submit only one abstract as a presenter or first author.
• Abstracts MUST be relevant to the conference theme.
• These abstracts should not have been submitted in previous AKU hosted conferences.
• Abstract(s) should not exceed 250 words and should cover Title, name of authors, introduction/background, objectives, methods, results, implications, conclusion, and references.
• Completed original research from the last 2 years can be submitted. Study protocols, studies in progress, or literature reviews will not be accepted. 
• Please include ERC approval details for original studies.
• The presentation schedule will be shared later.
