Athletics
Athletics was contended in the first ancient Olympic Games and is the only sport to have been contested throughout recorded sports history. Various categories are on offer for talented sportsmen and women, including track events, high jump and tug of war. Requiring mental effort as much as physical, come loaded with energy, motivation, and support and you are good to go!
Guidelines
Open for male and female teams. One participant can participate in a maximum of 3 individual events. Proper sports attire is required. IAAF rules will be observed.

Badminton
With more than a 2000-year history, badminton continues to be played on the professional and amateur levels around the world. At the Olympiad, matches are of two categories; singles and doubles, with three sets of 21 points each. The AKU gymnasium is well equipped for badminton, hosting 3 courts, where matches can take place simultaneously.
Guidelines
Single and double tournaments will take place. Each player should bring his/her own racket. Proper sports attire is required. Badminton World Federation rules will be observed.

Basketball
Take part in basketball at the Olympiad and join in the action at AKU’s multipurpose, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned gymnasium. Be part of the fun as the dribbling continues, the coach motivates his team at the top of his lungs, and the crowd roars its approval from the bleachers as the point guard scores a three-pointer!

Each team must consist of 10 players, including 2 reserves. Open for male and female teams. All players must wear proper sports attire (tracks/shorts/tights, non-marking shoes). FIBA rules will be observed.

Cricket
Enthusiasm about cricket is in the blood of Pakistanis: watching with family, playing with friends, and discussing every player who enters the national spotlight. While the rules of the game are simple (or not, just ask Jimmy Neesham), the game is more than mere technicalities and is almost guaranteed to bring on laughter and tears.

Each team must consist of 12 players, including 1 reserve. Open for male and female teams. All players must wear proper sports attire (tracks/shorts/tights, non-marking shoes). ICC rules will be observed.

Futsal
Show off your technical skills and ability to function in a high-pressure situation by participating in futsal at the Olympiad! Devised on the streets of Brazil, futsal has became an internationally recognized sport, requiring quicker reflexes and faster thinking than its soccer counterpart.

Snooker
Devised by British Army Officers stationed in India, snooker has a history close to home. Today it is played throughout Pakistan by people of all ages and walks of life. Join us at the Billiards room at AKU for a game combining tactical ability, patience, and mental resilience.

Squash
Squash is a cornerstone of the Olympiad, with players reaching speeds north of 200 km/h. It is also a game Pakistanis dominated for over thirty years. Grab your racket and join us at AKU’s squash courts to for an exciting match of strength, agility, and pinpoint reflexes!

Table Tennis
Did you know table tennis was devised as an after-dinner game but now has the most participants of any sport in the world? A test of hand-eye coordination and extreme focus, table tennis is popular with players who enjoy a fast paced sport. Practice your spins and join us at one of the two table tennis tables at the AKU gymnasium!

At the Olympiad, throwball is respected as a game of its own. More than just catching a ball, it is governed by stringent rules and technicalities which makes for challenging and engaging matches.
