Kenya
In Kenya, our alumni hold key leadership positions in government, clinics, hospitals, schools, universities and other institutions. Nearly two-thirds of our recent graduates in Kenya work in the public sector. We admit students based on merit, not ability to pay. AKU heavily subsidises its academic programmes and provides scholarships to 9 out of 10 of its students in East Africa.
Our 13-storey University Centre in Nairobi is home to state-of-the-art research and learning facilities. We have added an array of new undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The University is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network, one of the world’s largest private development organizations. AKDN’s roots in Kenya date back a century, and its activities benefit millions of Kenyans every year.
