Zarafsheen is a highly skilled mental health professional specializing in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). As a certified MHFA Adult and Youth Instructor, she has made a significant contribution to the field of mental health through her involvement in implementing MHFA programs, by marketing & facilitating MHFA training sessions, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to identify and assist individuals in mental health distress and/or crisis. Just like traditional first aid and CPR, MHFA is a vital tool in providing initial support until professional treatment is obtained or the crisis is resolved. Zarafsheen is passionate about promoting mental health literacy and empowering individuals to provide support to those experiencing mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addiction & suicide ideation.
With extensive experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Zarafsheen has honed her expertise in providing crisis intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy & Complicated Trauma Therapy to diverse populations. She has leveraged her knowledge to develop and deliver comprehensive mental health series, focusing on topics such as coping strategies, emotional well-being, and self-care practices.
