Dr. Ayesha Ahmed Wins First Prize: Pioneering Bioethics Education in Pakistan

Our education analyst, Dr. Ayesha Ahmed, has won the first prize in an Essay Competition as part of the First Bioethics Conference in Pakistan in February 2024. Her winning piece, titled "Bioethics Education in Pakistan – What, Why, How," highlighted the importance of Bioethics Education in Pakistan and the role of Simulation as an "ethical pedagogy". The essay emphasized that the inclusion of simulation in healthcare education is a direct application of bioethical principles to the way new professionals are trained. Thus, bioethics should not just be a subject in the educational system but an integral part of all our educational practices. This perspective made the essay unique and secured the first prize in the competition.
