Evidencing teaching practices for effective learning in higher education
The Aga Khan University’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Conference (SOTLC) brings together teachers, students and academic staff to raise the profile of teaching and learning by providing a platform for conversations and collaborations about enhancing the quality of teaching and learning at AKU and higher education institutions worldwide.
The conference is hosted by AKU’s
Networks of Quality, Teaching and Learning.
SOTLC 2019 focuses on ‘evidencing teaching practices for effective learning in higher education’ with the following objectives:

promote engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning;

celebrate evidence-based effective teaching and engaged learning;

encourage networking to facilitate synergies and sharing of good practices amongst practitioners and learners from different academic disciplines and institutions;

recognize good teaching and learning
The conference programme will include keynote talks, workshops, paper presentations, e-posters , and active learning sessions on the sub-themes. Additionally, there will be opportunities for interactions with professionals, graffiti boards, PechaKucha, world cafe, a video/art competition, and an innovation lab.
