Introduction to Nurturing Care in Early Childhood Development
This course is designed to provide an introduction to the principles of nurturing care in early childhood development (ECD). It focuses on enhancing participants' understanding of the nurturing care framework and its significance in the first two years of a child's life. The course covers key areas such as responsive caregiving, health, nutrition, safety, security, and learning stimulation.

For Youth The youngster will enhance their basic knowledge about ECD and may develop interest in pursuing the field with advanced ECD education.

For parents & caregivers The parents will be able to enhance their knowledge capacity regarding responsive caregiving, creating a nurturing environment, safety, and security during ECD, health and hygiene practices while providing care. The caregivers can enhance their knowledge and skills in responsive caregiving, planning age-appropriate activities and collaborating with parents to plan effective early childhood care.

For ECD/ECCE care providers & healthcare providers The course will enhance knowledge and skill capacity of educators/practitioners/health care providers to build awareness regarding nurturing care, plan effective early child hood interventions, support parents and care givers, and follow holistic approach for caring for young children

Aim
The aim of this course is to enhance knowledge and understanding regarding nurturing care framework, comprehend its different components and its impact on early childhood development. This course is an introduction to explore the key concepts of first 2 years of life.
Certification
A certificate of completion of LEADS will be provided to the candidates who successfully meet the following criteria:
Who can participate
Youth, Parents, Caregivers, Health care providers and anyone who is interested.
During this pilot phase, applications will be accepted from within the AKDN network.
Prerequisite
Completion of Intermediate
Someone who can read and understand basic English.
Should have access to internet
