The library has a collection of more than 4,700 print books related to courses offered at AKU-ANS Uganda. Two thirds of the library collection is on Nursing. A third of the collection consists of books on Biochemistry, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Pathophysiology, Sociology and Psychology. The library has audio-visual materials on health assessment, basic cardiac monitoring, mental health care nursing and effective leadership and management and these are strictly for use within the university environs. The FHS Kampala library has the best collection on Nursing in the whole of Uganda. ​
