Capacity Building Trainings
A series of on-going trainings for nurses, midwives and lady health visitors to address COVID-19 in Pakistan
Since, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Healthcare Professional (HSPs) inclusing nurses, midwives and lady health visitors are at the forefront to
prevent, manage and control the subsequent crisis at various healthcare settings
around the world. Thus, it is imperative to prepare them to deal
with COVID-19.
The project proposes an integrated approach by synergizing the capabilities of nursing cadre, academia, regulatory bodies and funding agencies to address the issue. In doing so, this initiative will help prevent, manage and control COVID-19 cases efficiently in Pakistan, as well as prepare nursing educators across the country to move their teaching systems online.
This capacity building drive is being executed by the AKU School of Nursing and Midwifery, and is funded by the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation.
