QTL_Net presents a groundbreaking case study at the Students as Partners Global Roundtable
The network of Quality, Teaching, and Learning at Aga Khan University presented a student-led program self-assessment process initiative at the Students as Partners Global Roundtable, hosted by the University of Queensland on September 12th, 2024
This Roundtable attracted a wide array of participants, including students, Program Directors, Deans, Professors, and faculty members from renowned universities across regions such as North America, Australia, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Representing QTL_net, Director of Quality Enhancement Cell, Faisal Notta along with his team (Farah Naz & Aishah Ghani) presented a case study which focused on empowering students to take a leading role in the program Self-Assessment (SAR) process. The approach goes beyond traditional feedback mechanisms—students are not passive contributors but are given the autonomy and empowered to take charge of the program SAR process.
Through this conference, QTL_net engaged with global thought leaders and gained feedback on the SaP approach for program quality. This approach was acknowledged by international practitioners of SaP and from students themselves, further reinforcing the effectiveness of student-led initiatives in enhancing program quality.
Taking this forward, AKU continues to lead in developing collaborative models contributing to our broader goal of enhancing educational outcomes through meaningful engagement.
