Introduction

Dr. Fahad Umer graduated from the Karachi Medical & Dental College at the top of his class in 2005. He joined the Operative Dentistry Residency Programme at The Aga Khan University Hospital and graduated in 2012. After his residency, he was awarded Fellowship by the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. In March 2020, he completed his International Residency program focusing on endodontic microsurgery from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Fahad Umer has served as the Service line Chief & Program Coordinator of the Operative Dentistry residency program at the Aga Khan University and lectures extensively on endodontic topics, particularly endodontic microsurgery, intentional replantation, and radicular cyst decompression.
Dr. Fahad has numerous publications in indexed and peer-reviewed journals including the International endodontic journal, British dental journal, and special care in Dentistry which include various topics on endodontic surgery, radicular cysts, vital pulp treatment, and most recently COVID-19. He is the Course Director for the ‘Introduction to Pathology and Oral Pathology’ course for the Associate Science in Dental Hygiene Program.
