Introduction
Dr. Sukhia graduated from Fatima Jinnah Dental College, University of Karachi, in 2004. She then pursued her Internship in Dentistry at the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry, Rawalpindi, in 2005. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK, a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of UK. She is also an alumnus of the master’s program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Aga Khan University, Karachi. Currently, she is serving as Assistant Professor (Orthodontics) and is also the Program Director of the Orthodontics Residency Program at the Aga Khan University and Hospital, Karachi. She is the Course Director for the Community Health & Leadership 2&3 course for the Associate Science in Dental Hygiene Program.
She is an approved CPSP supervisor and supervises residents for their Fellowship in Orthodontics from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, and also serves on the thesis committee of Master of Science students in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Aga Khan University, Karachi. She has more than 40 publications to her credit and has presented her research work at numerous national and international conferences and even received awards for the same. She is also the recipient of various grants as Principal Investigator.
